Common, low-frequency, and rare genetic variants associated with lipoprotein subclasses and triglyceride measures in Finnish men from the METSIM study

This paper details efforts to identify genetic variants associated with different subclasses of lipoproteins by conducting genome-wide single-variant and gene-based association analyses between 15.1M genetic variants and 72 NMR lipid and lipoprotein subclass traits in 8,372 Finnish men from the METSIM cohort.

The results uncovered novel associations with HDL subclasses for a set of coding variants in LIPC and LIPG.
